How Can primary Complex In A 6 Year Old Girl Be Treated?
My daughter is 6 years and a half she was having primary complex then the doctor prescribed for her kids kit 3 and my wife gave it to her for 6 months, but when she went to the doctor today she was scared as the doctor told her that she should give to her for 2 months and then give her the kids kit 2 for 4 months.. and she said that this will affect the kidney, then she asked her for an x-ray. But my wife is so worried. Can u advice please?
You are right, for TB we give 6 months treatment, 4 drugs for the first 2 months and then 2 drugs for 4 months. Howe'ver using Kidz Kit 3 for 6 months does not necessarily cause any big damage. Most of these are safe drugs. Kidney damage is very rare with using kit 3, so you should not worry this much.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
